School of Education Ceremony
- June 11, 2008, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Assembly
Candidates for degrees and credentials will assemble in academic dress in the Studio Theatre at 3:15 p.m. Lineup for the procession will begin at 3:45 p.m. The faculty and stage party in academic dress will assemble in the backstage dressing room in Jackson Hall and join the lineup on the patio at 3:45 p.m.
Order of Procession
The procession will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. The order of the procession will be marshal, official stage party, faculty and degree candidates. Degree candidates and faculty will be seated in front of the stage on the main floor. The stage party will be seated on stage.
Ceremony
The ceremony will include remarks by distinguished speakers, the presentation of awards and acknowledgement of degree and credential candidates. At the appropriate part of the ceremony, each candidate will move to the stage and cross the stage to receive congratulations. The ceremony will close with a recessional.
Note: All School of Education degrees will be officially conferred at the Graduate Studies Commencement on June 12, 2007, at 4:00 p.m., and candidates are encouraged to attend that ceremony. To participate, you must register online; see Graduate Studies.

Reception
Following the ceremony, a reception will be held for degree candidates, their families and friends, and friends of the School of Education in the Studio Theatre of the Mondavi Center.
Gown and Hood Return
To avoid a late-return charge, gowns must be returned to the collection staff at the reception immediately following the ceremony or to the UC Davis Bookstore by the published deadline.
